Hi, I’m Auri’An. Thank you for joining me.

I live in Far North Queensland – land of crocodiles, stingers, cassowaries, snakes, spiders, cyclones and lots of other things that try to kill the unwary, but despite all this, it is a beautiful country I am honoured to call home.

We all travel on a journey through life and most of mine was not the easiest of routes, but a chance question by my good friend and spiritual Teacher, Essence Ka tha'ras, sent me into a deep-dive into discovering who I am without my wounds. The result was my first book Hidden in a Dark Place, published on Amazon, and it was during my research for this book that I discovered my neuro-divergency.

The big three are that I am autistic, have aphantasia (image-free thinking), and SDAM (Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory). I also have anauralia (no inner voice), prosopagnosia (face blindness) and echolalia (a very annoying habit of repeating what other people say). Discovering these things has been very instrumental in my being able to look at my past from a different perspective and start the process of healing.

Essence Ka tha’ras has a phrase she says all the time – “You can’t separate the physical from the spiritual” and this has become a driving force for me. The Truth of this statement becomes more obvious with each passing day. I see Spirit, Source, God, the Tao (whatever name you prefer) within everything - nothing is exempt, and so you will find, in this blog a multitude of things that reflect the diverse wonders of this place we call home.

In every breath there is life.
