Today is World Smudge Day

In a time of mass upheaval, pain, fear and anger it makes sense to smudge our planet just as we would smudge our home. After all, Gaia is our home.

I live in Australia and a couple of months ago I asked the Tea Trees that I cycle past almost every day if I could take some leaves for smudge. They were happy to give some. They spent several weeks drying naturally in the sun and wind and were then bound into smudge sticks – wrapped not only in cotton thread, but also imbued with Love and Peace. With Harmony.

When you think of the term “Crone” what do you think?

I’d like to bet that the picture that comes to mind is something in line with the Wicked Witch of the West from “Wizard of Oz”.  You know the one I’m talking about – big hooky nose, wart on the chin, mean temper – maybe not the green skin though!  LOL. 

And even if you go to Wikipedia you find: 

“In folklore, a crone is an old woman who may be disagreeable, malicious, or sinister in manner, often with magical or supernatural associations that can make her either helpful or obstructing. The Crone is also an archetypal figure, a Wise Woman. As a character type, the crone shares characteristics with the hag. “

Yes, Wikipedia does acknowledge the Wise Woman, but that almost seems as if it is an afterthought!

The reality is that Crone is the Wise Woman.  She, traditionally, was the Healer, the Teacher, the Midwife, the Psychologist, the Pharmacist and heaps more.  She is the Holder of Ancient Knowledge and Wisdom.  She was a strong woman, the centre of almost any community.  Often strong-willed, dominant, didn’t take sh^t from anyone!  She was respected, revered, honoured and protected for the invaluable treasure she was.  Until the Church and other male-dominated societies decided she was a threat and the witch-hunts and other forms of suppressing the Feminine started. 

When humans followed a Matriarchal line, there were no wars.  That’s not to say the world was fully peaceful – there were simply no major wars as we see now under patriarchal ruling.  From a Crone perspective, there are ALWAYS other ways to solve disputes.

Words have Energy, and the term ‘Crone’ has been held in fear and contempt for so long that on hearing that word or reading it, we immediately think of that introduced archetype – the wicked old woman; hooked nose, wart and all.

Now it is time for the Krone to arise.  To re-stand in today’s society as the powerful woman she is.  To once again take her intended place at the centre of society – to be Wise Woman, Teacher, Healer.  We are being called upon to lead the way in guiding humanity away from the path of fear and anger and towards making the choices needed in bringing the Collective Consciousness of Humanity – and this beautiful planet – back to the knowledge and wisdom that will lead us to a brighter future.

Something is About to Explode!

A year or so ago I moved to a small town which had been through the mill.  The whole town had been just about wiped out with a cyclone.  The people who live there are wonderful and I felt right at home very quickly.  Becoming a part of a small community isn’t always easy yet I felt welcomed almost straight away; but when you have a small community, where just about everyone knows everyone else, there are going to be some arguments and disagreements.  It’s quite normal and in a town this size, like family spats, they are easy to see. 

Once I had understood these differences, I made the conscious choice not to become embroiled.  To walk the middle path. 

The reason I tell you this is because a Face Book friend just put up a post that mentioned that people who won’t choose a ‘side’ in an argument are gutless, and it seems a good time to set the record straight.  It actually takes a TON of strength to not choose sides and to try to maintain that middle road, staying open and friendly with all sides.  All my life I’ve tried to be the ‘peace-keeper’ between ‘factions’ and all my life I’ve been the one hurt – yet I keep  doing it.  I’m pretty sure I won’t stop anytime soon either. 

All that info is just to introduce something that is very likely to happen in the next few months.  It’s something we need to be prepared for because it has the possibility of being really ugly and people like me, who prefer not to choose sides, are very likely going to have to take a stand.  I told you that we ‘middle roaders’ are strong – don’t say I didn’t warn you when you see that strength and years of frustration erupt!  What am I talking about?  I’m talking about the rapidly approaching time that Coronavirus starts to come to an end; when social distancing and quarantine comes to an end and when people start to look for answers as to why this happened.

Our world is currently swamped in Fear.  For those of you who know about my Energy Ladder work, know that the bottom rung, the one in the murk, is held at the frequency of Fear.  Pretty much every low-frequency emotion can be devolved back to fear.  So what happens as the virus starts to fade away and the fear starts to reduce?  As we start to move away from Fear, we get to move up a rung on that Energy Ladder – and the next rung up holds the frequency of Anger.

People are going to start to question – and not just about Coronavirus.  Humans have been swamped in fear for centuries, especially over the last few decades – war, famine, plague are fears we are reasonably, possibly even genetically, used to.  Then add in the constant barrage of low-grade fear we’ve subjected ourselves to over the last few decades – the news we watch, the films we watch, the books we read.  Conspiracy theories abound.  Advertising that tells us we are just not up to the mark.  That we don’t have the right body, belong to the right group of friends, are too old, too young, too fat, too thin, too short, too tall.  That we are female.  There is the possibility that these fears – that are so endemic to us that most of the time we don’t actually recognise them as fears – will just add fuel to the fire that is likely to happen when we start to question how Coronavirus was started.  How was it allowed to spread to rapidly; why isn’t there a vaccine??  Who is to blame? 

Humans like to blame someone.

And this is where our society threatens to come completely unstuck.  Are we advanced / ascended / awake enough to understand that we need to go about this in a different way if we are to gain the future we desire?  That this anger, – and believe me I can’t see it NOT happening – needs to be reined in; turned around and the Energy used in a positive manner.  And for that to happen we have to know what we want to see when this comes to an end.  How we want our world to look for our children’s children’s children. We have to stop it and seek other ways before it gets off the ground. Do we want future historians to look back to this time as say “That was the time we missed a huge opportunity” or would be prefer them to say “That was the time when we started to make a difference.” I know which I want.

We have been in the pause between the in-breath and the out-breath.

Now.  Today.  That Collective out-breath starts and it will continue until the end of October. 

Are we ready for the next in-breath??

Are we ready to choose how we want our future to look?

Because if we can’t – it’s going to get worse.  Anger will be added to Fear.

Leaving it to the Last Minute

I saw a post on Face Book a couple of weeks ago and it’s kind of stuck itself in my mind.  I’m not even sure if it’s true or not – I’m normally fairly ignorant of world affairs because I don’t listen to news broadcasts and don’t own a TV or radio.  There is so much ‘false news’ out there in the world that you really don’t know any more what is true and what is not.  Journalistic integrity seems to be a thing of the past nowadays.  This post, however, was interesting because it told me that this was the first time in human history that humans are not fighting each other. That they are coming together to fight a common enemy – COVID-19.

This post was around the same time that all the very weird hoarding of toilet-paper was happening, and we all know which thought got the most play-time!!  “Must go buy as much toilet paper as I can” or “Gosh, how often have I prayed for world peace, and now we have that possibility”. 

We are often told to be careful of what we wish for.  Well it struck me that COVID-19 is something we wished for – well, not specifically, but something extreme had to happen to make world peace a possibility.  We weren’t doing a very good job at sorting that one out ourselves were we?

Now we are at that point of re-set.  That pause between the in-breath and the out-breath of the Collective. The point of choice.  How do we want our world to look when all this is over?  I don’t know about you, but I, for one, do not want to go back to ‘normal’.  ‘Normal’ is what got us here in the first place regardless of whether COVID-19 is bio-warfare, a natural mutation, something brought here on the back of a comet or the finger of God.  To be honest, I don’t really care how it got here – it’s here and we have to deal with it, and then we have to deal with the aftermath.  And THAT is the bit that interests me.  Where do we go after COVID-19? 

Now, in this pause between breaths, NOW is the time to start to build how we want our world to look.  Not just for the next few years but to plan for our children’s children’s children and beyond.   We want them to breath clean air – well look at how quickly Mama G is cleaning the air in China and India.  We want the waters of the world to be clean and healthy – look at what happened in Venice.  Does anyone know what’s happening about that whopping great rubbish dump called our oceans?  Is anyone checking?  NOW is probably our last chance to do something.  Talk about leaving it to the last minute!!!  Let’s just hope we DO get things right AND that we still have the time to make a difference.  I have to believe we do still have time.  Mama G is showing us that it really won’t take long IF we act NOW. 

For those of us who believe in the tales – the verbal history – of Atlantis…   they got it wrong and their society was lost.  There is a strong Karmic Imbalance from that time – and this is our last chance to fix it so that verbal history doesn’t repeat itself once again.

We are about to take that next in-breath very soon.  Is it going to fan the flames of panic and the ultimate demise of our planet or is it going to be a gathering of Energy to support us into the Golden Age?  The choice is ours. 

We’ve shown how we can all put aside our differences and fight a common cause.  When this is over, how about we continue this working together against a common cause to good use.  Why don’t we work together in the same way to bring our Earth back to a beautiful pristine place to live?

Remember – the choice has to be now.  And the choice is ours to make.

The Fear will Kill You

I was going to post this yesterday, but my computer fell over and I decided that the Universe was stopping me. Today I see why. It’s just got crazy in Europe and the USA. Schools, theme parks, supermarkets….
Meanwhile, in Australia, in the midst of the Great Toilet Paper Debacle our Government has announced that it is going to do it’s level best to support and maintain the economy with a $7.6 BILLION injection.

But Honestly? It’s still the fear that will kill you.

Have you read Bruce Lipton’s Biology of Belief? Man that man makes some sense – and when you understand just how much that fear affects you physically – and especially your immune response – you will start to realise just why you need to start thinking logically and not through that Fight or Flight response.

So. What are you afraid of? That you will die? Yep, that MAY happen, especially if you are elderly, infirm, have a compromised immune system – but heck, we are all going to die at some time. Why panic buy toilet paper? CV doesn’t give you the trots as far as I know. The majority of people will get a cold. Granted, it could be a real hum-dinger and you’ll feel like shit for a few weeks, but something like 99% of people will get over it.

The media are having a field day. Instead of remaining positive – or even neutral – and letting us all know of the thousands of people who are recovering, they focus on the few who are not. This is a time of change for the media – a time when we should be standing up and telling them to start reporting without all the hype. To stop inciting that fear. How do we do that? By not buying into that fear.

Fatalistic? Not a chance. I’m going to do everything possible to avoid getting this cold – just like I have done since 1997 when I last had a cold. I make sure I THOROUGHLY wash my hands. I’ll probably stop indiscriminately hugging people. I’ll support my immune system by doing my level best not to buy into the fear. I haven’t gone panic-buying toilet paper, water or anything else. If I do that – well apart from promoting that fear response, I am perhaps depriving someone else from having those things. How selfish can a human be when they are riding the wave of fear.

So – that was today’s little spat – here is what I wrote yesterday……

You won’t often see me writing about my fears.  Just writing about them does, to my way of thinking, give energy to those fears.  It brings them right to the front of my attention and as a result it makes them grow.  Some people will tell me that ignoring them doesn’t make them go away either – and that is perfectly right.  This is why Fear is such a tricky energy to deal with.

My work in this life is helping people to deal with fear.  I help folk whose bodies have reacted to years of fear by falling over – becoming ill.  Yes, I hold qualifications that help me to guide others, but I am also the product of over 60 years of living in fear.  In my mind, that kind of makes me an expert. 

An expert.  Unfortunately, in our current society just about everyone is an expert in fear.  We are swamped by it day in and day out to the extent that most people no longer even recognise it until something like the Coronavirus comes along and the media has a field day.  Fear sells far more than sex ever will.  Think about it. It’s fear, not sex that caused Australia’s entire stock of toilet paper to be sold in days.  Just think about how ridiculous it is that people stock up to that extent on toilet paper – I should have thought that if you needed to stock up on anything, it would be soap and paracetamol.

I find it quite fascinating: unless you’ve been living in a cave for the last 20 years, everyone knows about how the Fight or Flight Response works and how the long-term affects of living with stress and anxiety issues (caused by fear) affect your physical health as well as your mental health, yet we fall for it every time.  We are addicted to it.  Addicted to the cocktail of hormones that flood our bodies when fear hits.  We watch fear-based movies; read fear-based books, our advertising is fear-based (especially where women are concerned); politics, TV, religion, wars, food shortages, unemployment, the weather…..  Every which way we turn we are bombasted with something that invokes fear.

I live in Australia.  I see the toilet paper fiasco and I’ve posted a couple of ‘funnies’ on Facebook about it – only to get lambasted by those who are travelling that fear-based road.  “I’m not fearful” they say, “just being prepared.” Well, my friends, if you need to be ‘prepared’ by buying trolley-loads of toilet paper, I’d say that there’s a whole lot of fear going on!

I’m not going to rabbit on here about how the Energy side of this works – I’ve written plenty of other articles here in my blog on that topic – All I’m going to say here is please, be realistic.  Unless you are old and/or have a compromised immune system you are unlikely to have anything more than a really bad cold.  And that’s if you even catch this thing!

So now, let me tell you something.  This is how you make fear work for you.  You tell it that it has no power over you.  Fear is the bottom-most rung on the Energy Ladder and you exist way above that.  Then you set your intention that this fear-based stuff is not going to enter your energy field.  Physically you make sure that you do your bit by maintaining good, sound cleanliness practices like thorough hand-washing and not touching your face and then you set your intention that you will not become ill.

By setting this intention – and believing in it with every single molecule of your being – you are emotionally supporting your body; you are physically supporting your body with your good hygiene practices and you are spiritually protecting your body by maintaining your high Energy frequency.

How do I know this works?  Up until 1997 I, regularly as clockwork, had two colds every year.  In that year my husband became terminally ill with cancer.  His specialist told me that with his compromised immune system it was very important that he not even catch a cold.  It was then that I started strictly observing hand-washing / face touching hygiene.  I set the intention that I would not ever catch even a cold.  I re-married in 2004 and one of my guests flew in from Afghanistan where she was deployed in a military hospital.  She inadvertently brought in an extra guest – bird flu.  That one I caught.  Other than that bird flu I have not had a cold or flu since I set that intention in 1997. 

That’s how I know it works.  I’d had a choice.  I could become fearful, watchful and incredibly aware of every little sniffle; constantly giving energy to the fear that I would catch a cold and be responsible for probably shortening my husband’s life, or I could chose not to be fearful and thereby boosting and supporting my own immune system by not allowing those FFR hormones to flood my body.

You all have exactly that same choice.  You can worry about Coronavirus; you can focus on it by reading every article, checking out every ‘cure’; stocking up with toilet paper – in other words you can make it a focus for your life at this time.  And anyone who knows about the Law of Attraction will know that what you put out there, you attract. 

Or you can tell fear to take a hike.  You are aware of the virus – heck if you’ve ever had a common cold (and who hasn’t) well, you’ve already had a run-in with one type of Coronavirus!  You know already it’s only the old and the already-compromised who are at risk of fatality; that 99% of people who get this just have the symptoms of a bad cold;  you can practice good hygiene and then STOP GIVING IT ENERGY.   Don’t attract what you don’t want by always having it in your field!

And now – I’ve given this enough Energy.  I’m off to wash my hands.

Energetically Shooting Myself in the Foot?

There are times when I can be so dense.

I work with the Law of Attraction.  I teach my clients how their thoughts create their reality.  I even paint a verbal picture of how Spirit/Universe/God/whoever looks at Mrs X and says how very much she must enjoy arguing with her neighbour because she’s always talking about their arguments with everyone who stands still long enough to listen, and how Spirit/Universe/God/whoever thinks that it will make sure that Mrs X gets lots of that argumentative Energy sent to her because she obviously enjoys it.  It’s sort-of funny.  What you focus on is what you get is the bottom line of working with the Law of Attraction.

Except….

Except, when it came to me, I totally managed to misplace how Belief also plays a part.  How the deep-down beliefs that we hold – those that are such a part of us that we don’t even consider them to be a ‘belief’ – are also in the game. 

Money is a good example.  Being an older person, but not old enough to retire, I have, for the last year or so, been living on unemployment benefit.  This is roughly 50% of what is considered the bread-line in Australia.  So money, or rather the lack of it, is a constant in my life.

I work really hard to maintain a high-vibrational frequency: I volunteer, I do what I can to help others da-da-da…  I also have this almost-constant refrain rolling through my head about money.  Or the lack of.  How I can’t afford to get my hair cut or a colour put through it.  How I ride a tricycle because a car is way out of budget; how it’s eggs for dinner again because they are cheap.  Anyone on a tight budget understands this – it colours just about every thought.  You have to weigh-up every pair of socks you need to buy against what else you could use that money for.  It’s almost impossible to stop thinking about the lack.

What I also do is ‘flip’ those thoughts:  my hair is beautiful in it’s natural state and the grey is so shiny; the tricycle is fun, I decorate it and put Christmas lights all over it so people don’t miss seeing me; how eggs are no longer the dietary villain but are actually a food that gives me almost everything I need. I am, actually, a heap better off than many people on this planet.   I meditate,  chant affirmations, I work in the physical world to promote my counselling and healing business and keep telling myself that it WILL get off the ground and that I WILL become self-sufficient again and so much more.

But there’s that deep down belief, the one that is always at the back of my mind however much I flip thoughts and actions – that I’ll never have enough money; that money really IS the actual root of all evil, after all it was a major player in all the dramas that have happened in my life…. And on it goes.

Today, I was reading “Act of Faith – Conversations with P’taah” when I had a ‘light-bulb’ moment and mentally slapped myself upside the head!  How many times on a daily basis do I say that “Everything is Energy?”  How often do I bemoan that many spiritual people mouth words but don’t really understand what they are saying?  I actually love these moments when my ‘humanness’- my fallibility is pushed up front so I can’t help but fall over it.  And there it was – the reason my manifestation of a flow of money to me and through me wasn’t happening.  I’d thought I’d been working so hard on not focusing on my lack of money, yet all the while I was still holding a deep-down belief that money was something bad.   I had totally forgotten that money is simply Energy.  No bigger, no smaller in importance than a light bulb or a flower bulb or absolutely anything else in this reality.  Simply an Energy form, made manifest into physical reality in order to exchange it for other energy.  Money itself isn’t evil, money itself isn’t what stops me getting my hair cut and coloured.  Money just is. 

It’ll be interesting, as I work to dispel this belief structure of mine, to observe how it all works.  How changing my beliefs about money from something that has always been a major player in my life dramas into simply Energy, works with the Law of Attraction.  How those pieces of paper are actually unimportant.  It’s the possibilities that they energetically hold that is important.  Everything – including money – is simply Energy.

Thank you BB – I know you have been trying to explain this to me for a while.  I THINK I’ve got it – at least, I am aware and working on the concept!

Food for Thought – What do you share….

I would like to ask you  a question or three about a post that appeared in one of my FB pages.  Or rather, just ask you to consider something. I’ve written on this topic several times in this blog; I give workshops on this topic and frequently (metaphorically) stand on my soap-box and hope I reach at least SOMEONE!

It’s about how the Energy of this type of post works. The particular post that triggered this tirade, was a video of the rubbish that is clogging our oceans and destroying wildlife. You’ve probably seen it yourself – it’s been going around a fair bit. But it could just as easily have been a “trophy” hunter or a picture of animal or child cruelty.

What did you feel when you first saw this post.  Or any other post that shows the cruelty of man or the unthinking pollution of humans. What emotion?  Were you angry? Sad? Frustrated? Fearful? I’d like to bet that you weren’t joyous or happy or filled with love and light.

So when you were feeling these things, these low-frequency emotions, what made you want to pass those feelings – that Energy – on to someone else?

Why did you want to make someone else feel angry, sad, frustrated, fearful?  Consider how many folk read your posts, and now they are all possibly experiencing low frequency emotions too – and spreading them wider as they too hit Share without considering the Energy implications.

Did it make you feel better to share this post? 
Did you feel that you’ve done something positive about the rubbish in the ocean – by spreading those horrible emotions?  Maybe you thought that someone will actually do something if you spread all these negative emotions a bit further? Someone else – not you. See where I’m going here?

Does your spreading this fear and anger and sadness remove a single plastic bag from the oceans?

Does pressing “Share” save the life of a sea-creature?

Sorry – it didn’t.

Some people say, “Well it raises awareness”. Yes it does, but that awareness is only valuable if everyone does something about it.  But did that awareness-raising of the individual who reads this post remove the rubbish from the ocean or did it just sadden another person.  Or make someone else angry, fearful, or indifferent.  Did raising the awareness of this problem of humanity’s making, make any change to you.  Did hitting Post raise up your vibration in a positive way?  It might have stoked your Ego a little ‘”Hey aren’t I good?  I raised the awareness of the mess in the ocean.  Maybe someone else will clean it up.”

How much better would it be if you used that energy in a positive way instead.  If, instead of just hitting Post and feeling as if you have done your bit, you actually got up and spoke with the local supermarket about changing policies on plastic use or lobbied the council to insert those cages inside drains that gather up rubbish before it can reach the sea?  How about if you used a little more energy in a positive way and started to write awareness posts that made people think about their own habits and contributions to the mess of our oceans?  Or shared this? Or just looked after your own back yard and make a decisions to not contribute in any manner that you can avoid, to the mess we, as humans, have made.

Like most other people who share such things, you are lead into believing that you are doing good, but no.  You are actually spreading those low-frequency energies.  We do all know there are such atrocities going on in the world – there is no reason to advertise them.  If you delete such posts, you are not ignoring the problem, you are preventing the pain being passed to more people who, most likely wouldn’t have done anything other than pass that Energy on.  What if you delete such posts and then do something about the problem instead of hoping that someone else will look after the trouble if only enough people know about it – then we will be heading in the right direction.

I know that this will rile a few people up – but that’s OK.  I just want you to think a bit before hitting Share or Post.  What is the Energy of this post I’m about to share?  Is it uplifting, high-frequency, loving?  Or not?

Am I really just spreading low-frequency Energy or am I actually doing something positive about fixing the problem? Whatever your answer, whatever you decide – if you think before hitting Share, you are taking a step in the right direction.

Helping You – 1

This is the first in a series that Auri’An is writing for her local newspaper – “Coral Sea Sun”

Maybe today was a bad day.  Maybe the kids wouldn’t stop fighting, the dog threw up on the couch, and the washing machine flooded the kitchen.  Maybe today was a day you really just wanted to go back to bed and wish it would all go away.  Maybe today you just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry. 

We all have those days.  I’m sure you recognise that, even if your bad stuff is different.  That feeling of being overwhelmed, of everyone looking to you to sort it out but seeming to not care that you just don’t want to do it any more.  That you need a break.

There are many ways that help you deal with it, get through it, and actually come out the other end still sane, and over the next few issues I’ll start to help you through some of these ways.  There’s nothing really hard, or flash or fancy about it. You don’t need to buy heaps of self-help books; you just need to know that you need some help and be determined to once again find your happy self.

One of the very easiest ways to get through this type of day – those days where everything seems to go wrong – is something that you have been doing most of your life, well, all your life actually – breathe.

But not just simply breathing in air and letting it escape again, you need to do this consciously: 

You stop whatever you are doing. 

You let your shoulders relax.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and then just sort of huff it out in one big, noisy swoosh.

Then, take another breath.  This time suck in as much air as you can.  Feel your chest expanding, your shoulders lifting and when you think you can’t take in any more – do just that….  Another little bit of air.  You can do it….

Then, as slowly as you can let it out. And when you think you’ve fully breathed out – go some more!  You’ll feel your shoulders pressing down, your tummy pushing upwards to squish your lungs.

You’ll automatically take another deep breath – let this one out with a swoosh again and then you just get on with whatever you had to do.

There’s many things that happen in the body when you take a couple of deep breaths, but there’s not really enough room to go through them here, but basically you are giving your body time to adjust and settle down from the Fight or Flight response all those overwhelming things put you into.

Ripples

It fascinates me, watching the ripples that move through humanity.  How the action of one person or one small event can set off a cascade of responses reaching wider and wider.

The first time I noticed this effect was when my first husband died.  I’d nursed him through his illness and some family members had given me so much love and support, taking on the little things such as cleaning the house and running errands, so that I was free to look after Ian.  This love and care is what formed the first Ripple Event that I noticed.

One of my Sister-in-Laws had read a newspaper article on a spate of home break-ins that were targeting the homes of those who were grieving.  These low-life folk were entering the homes whilst the family were at the funeral.  My SIL was worried, so she called upon a friend to ‘house-sit’ for the few hours we were away in order to farewell my husband.  The friend was very happy to help but had to make some arrangements to get her children picked up from school and looked after – so she called another friend.  That friend was also very happy to help, but she too had to change her plans…..  and so the ripple spread out formed from the Love and Care of one person.  I have no idea how far those ripples spread in order for me to feel safe that my home would not be attacked during the funeral, but I will always be grateful for these unknown and unsung heros.

That was over 20 years ago and I have remained aware and fascinated by this Ripple Effect.  It mainly tends to work quietly in the background – people helping people helping people – but sometimes it can also cause tsunamis of pain.

I know of a person who was in deep pain.  She kept the pain bottled up and never actually told the person who was inadvertently and unknowingly causing that pain.  Eventually it all became too much to contain and she closed all avenues of contact, even moving to a new town.  It was her choice, her way of dealing with something she needed to stop, but the ripples from this event are huge.  They spread out first to the person who was causing the pain.  Remember – that person was totally unaware they were the cause of any form of anguish and indeed has no idea what they did to cause such pain.  Being told of this would have been a shock but nothing like the pain of being discarded and blocked from her family.  She is still unaware of what caused the person to cut her off, and that causes her to now live in pain.   Some would call it Karma – you cause pain, you receive pain and I’d absolutely agree except that surely, this could have been healed by talking.  And so the ripples moved out.

In trying to explain that she really wants to resolve this, in trying to understand the cause behind this person’s actions, those ripples have gained momentum and spread out to other family members, causing huge arguments and rifts and the separation of grandchildren from grandparents.  Those family members then are more emotionally invested in this than before – and the ripples spread outwards.  Such a sad situation.  The pain one person kept hidden has now affected many.

I watched this Ripple Effect at play in my life yesterday.  I have a friend who was recalled to hospital after being discharged a few days ago.  A “get back here now, we’ve found something that needs checking out” type of call that must have sent waves of shock and worry through my friend.  She asked if I would drive her into the hospital.  There is no way that I wouldn’t help out, but I was up to my eyeballs in a business audit.  To take my friend to hospital I had to ask the assistance of 3 other people who all responded to immediately help out.  Their plans also had to change spreading those ripples.

So what are these ripples?  They are Energy.  Everything is Energy, we all know this, but this is Energy made visible through the actions of humanity.  Who knows how far those ripples spread before they peter out.  Do they ever peter out?  Perhaps they join with other, similar ripples affecting a deeper change in society?

From what I have observed, the ripples caused by pain and fear are huge and spread out so very easily – humans are conditioned to respond to fear.  It’s a survival trait.  But nowadays our fear is not from the chance meeting with a Sabre Toothed Tiger, but it’s on every billboard, on every TV programme, in every magazine and plastered right through social media.  We live in a bath of fear with tsunami ripples going every which way.

But we have the opportunity to choose.  Right now, at this point in the growth of the Collective Consciousness of Humanity, we can make a difference.  We can choose not to stir up or spread those ripples with a basis of fear.  We can choose to spread the slow, constant, smooth and gentle ripples formed by actions coming from Love and Care.

How do we do this?  We consider our every action and the effect it will have on our family, friends and neighbours.  Will this action cause tsunami ripples or gentle ripples?  Can I take potential tsunami and calm it?  Will this action stir up waves needlessly.  Do I need to send out tsunami waves to affect a positive change or will constant gentle actions ultimately bring a better result?

Considering your actions, being aware of what is best for you is good – but be also aware of the Ripple Effect and choose wisely.  Each choice you make affects far more than just you.
